Foreign business delegates scouting Palm Beach County for relocation and trade ties
WEST PALM BEACH - Business representatives from 12 South American countries and Canada are touring Palm Beach County today.

The delegates, through the Miami-based International Association of Trade Commissioners, plan to visit Florida Atlantic and Northwood universities. They also have meetings scheduled with the county's economic development agencies and Mayor Jeri Muoio. They plan to hold a public event at West Palm's waterfront for owners of small and large businesses.

Barbara Fiedor working to boost international commerce in PB county
As the head of the West Palm Beach-based Orbis Strategy Group, island resident Barbara Fiedor continues to raise the county's profile as a center for international commerce.

"There is great potential here for growth, as the county offers good economic value, is not completely built-out in terms of land for development, and offers incentives to firms looking to locate here," said Fiedor, who grew up on Hypoluxo Island and has a keen interest in contributing to the future commercial success of her home county.

More than a dozen foreign trade commissioners head to Palm Beach County
More than a dozen trade commissioners from countries across the Western hemisphere are to spend the day in Palm Beach County on Oct. 12 in an effort to generate more international business ties between primarily Central and Latin America and the region.

Dubbed Link Up 2011 the event, put together by consulting firm Orbis Strategy Group in partnership with Miami's International Association of Trade Commissioners, "is the largest single group of foreign trade commissioners to visit Palm Beach County in over six years," according to Orbis's website.
